This week has been so busy!  I am exhausted beyond belief, but a good exhausted!  We had the CO this week, well the sub CO, which just so happened to be a much loved brother and sister who recently moved from our cong to help out another cong.  It was so great to have them back for the week and enjoy a busy week of activity.

Emy and Kenna were really well behaved as they tagged along in service all week.  So many great pointers were given during the meetings for service.  I think you're doing something right when your kids are so eager to preach to people that they want to take every door, but seriously!  I want some doors too!  It's pretty funny to see me and Kenna kinda fight each other over who's door it actually is.  Applying the advice given has landed me with a good call.  I can't wait to go back and hopefully help plant some seeds of truth with her!

But with all the extra activity this week and a grad party on Saturday as well as taking my sister shopping and running here there and everywhere, I'm spent.  I feel like such an old lady!  We had beautiful mornings in service, and each day, Emmy conked out as soon as I put her in my wrap, so it was very pleasant.  I'm really enjoying this spring weather.  Even though the afternoons burst into the mid 80's to 90, you wouldn't know it from the morning.

I finally wrote my talk this afternoon.  I have been stressing over it for quite some time and it feels good to finally be done, and I think I wrote it well...cough.

We had a packed out house today for the Sunday talk.  The CO shared the video, which we had already seen when we visited D Drive the other month.  Thankfully we already saw it, because we had to sit in the back room which had a crazy glare on the glass.  I wish they announced how many we had in attendance, because every seat was filled, even the extras from the storage closets.  It's so encouraging when it's a packed house.  We had friends visiting from the Tagalog, Chinese, and Spanish congregations.  After the meeting, we went in service.  We are trying to make Sunday service a part of our routine.  And 2 houses into our day the rains came again.  Sigh. Wish we had umbrellas.  Next week we'll have a better day I'm sure!

So the other day, hubby bought me a sewing machine!!!  It's so cool with over a hundred settings and tons of other cool features, it also does quilting!  I can't wait to get it out of the box and get busy on my super long list of craftings that I want to sew.  But I am determined to read the manual all the way through and watch the how-to video before I start tinkering with the machine and mess something up, like I did with my older machine...cough. It's super light too, which means I can carry it around and tote it back and forth to my sewing lessons which I will one day get from a sister in my MiL's congregation who gives lessons.

We went strawberry picking this week....twice.  YUM!  And we may be going again sometime this week with some friends in the hall.  Needless to say, I've eaten my fair share of berries this week!

So that about sums up the entirety of what I can remember.  This week is going to be super busy too.  I need a vacation :)

Being silly with some friends at a graduation party :)

Today I decided to set my son up with his own email account.  I have thought about this for a while and after weighing the pros and cons decided to go ahead and let him do it.  I figured it's better now, when the kid is young and has nothing to hide, to teach him to be open about his internet use, then wait until he's a teenager and everything's all secretive.  He was also told that in order to be allowed to use email, mommy and daddy have to know his password at all times and can look at his account whenever we wanted.  I even have it linked to mine so that in case he decided to change something, I can override it.

So after he decided on his silly username and I gave him the email accounts of everyone in the family, he decided to write his aunt and uncle a letter.   A poem rather.  No hi's, hello's, how are ya's.  Just a poem.  That he made up as he went along.  And it goes something like this:

The water sparkles in the sun.
The wind blows in the trees.
The man drinks the wine.
The kid drinks the soda.
The Squirrel eats the nuts,
The cat eats the Squirrel.
The baby eats a lot!

I really liked it!  And if this is just a glimpse of things to come, then I'm kicking myself for not starting this sooner.  He is a wonderful boy and yes, I am partial, as all mothers should be.  I really enjoy his silliness and his viewpoint on all things big and small. :)

Hello there friends!  Don't mind me, I'm just enjoying some tummy time with my big brother!  Have a good day!

In April, husband decided to build the kids a swing set, they've really missed being able to swing since the move last summer.  They really love having it, so does everyone else...
So glad the Hubby built a new swing set for the KIDS to enjoy... :)
(sorry for the poor picture quality, this was taken through the window with a screen in it)

My sweet little girl isn't much of a little girl any more :(  It seems every day she says or does something that screams "She's not a baby any more!"  If I didn't just have a baby, I'm pretty sure I'd be thinking "I need a baby RIGHT NOW!"

A few weeks ago, little miss lost her FIRST TOOTH!  She is excited beyond belief!  She tells every person she comes in contact with that she lost her first tooth.  She even yelled it at the starbucks window.  When people ask her what she's going to do with that tooth (implying tooth fairy) she responds..."Put it in a jar and keep it forever" and they give her a strange look...and I just smile.
If losing her first tooth wasn't enough of a blow to me accepting that she's growing up, this past Monday she learned how to tie her shoes!  It was very spur of the moment...
"Mommy, teach me how to tie my shoes"
"Ok, make an x, tuck one under, pull it tight, make a bunny ear, travel the string around the ear and tuck it under, now  pull on both bunny ears and there ya go!"
"Ok, like this?"
And that about sums up her 5 minute mastery of tying her shoes...
She can also breeze through the Bob books like it's the simplest thing in the world to read.
She's awesome!
I can't wait to watch her succeed in school!
Speaking of school, she starts Kindergarten in -2 1/2 months-!  I'M NOT READY!  But girlfriend certainly is!

Hi guys! Long time no see!  It has become incredibly difficult to blog anything these days...lack of motivation, time, new baby, inability to formulate thoughts, sleep deprivation, colds and viruses one after another...all viable contributors for web silence lately.  So I thought I'd make this short and sweet and get something posted before I get side-tracked and send another post to the drafts department....
Last month we had our circuit assembly.  We stayed with B's bro and our sis in law who are expecting their first little lovely in the summer!
We got great news, the new assembly hall in SC is finally done so this was to be our last visit in the sports arena!  Yes, there was a loud roar of applause!  Our spoiled butts can't wait to get back to Salisbury!  We're also the first Circuit in the rotation so we'll be going to our next CA in the beginning of September!  Woohoo!
Baby turned 2 mo old while we were there and she was so wonderful!  I was actually able to get something out of it!  I have a feeling the convention this summer will be a different story with a wiggly 6 mo old...

Modest baby is saying "please, no more photographs"
I didn't get a shot of the entire family together...hopefully soon I'll think to do that!...mommy brain stinks!
